-
How can I become
a photographer for Seattle City Photography?
If you have great stock photos of the Seattle area you'd like to license,
contact us and let us know. We'll promote your
photographs on Seattle City Photography and you will receive a 60% commission on the
purchase of each license of any of your photographs.
-
Can I set my own prices for my photographs?
Yes, if your images are larger than the minimum size of 1600 x 1200 pixels, you may set whatever price
you'd like for your full size image. However, the price of your full size image must be greater than $69.
You cannot set the prices for the small and medium versions of your photographs. They are fixed at $29 and $59 respectively.
-
What are the requirements for submitting photographs?
All images must be at least 1600 x 1200 pixels (equivalent to a 1.9 megapixel camera), although we much highly prefer
larger images. All images must be submitted in digital format (no slides or negatives). If images
are post-processed in Photoshop, please do not run the unsharp mask filter on them.
-
What type of images are you looking for?
Any great stock photographs of the Seattle and Eastside areas, especially the smaller neighborhoods
and surrounding suburban cities. Images that capture the essence of life in Seattle. The buildings,
the people, the activities, the lifestyle...
-
Should I post-process my photos?
Yes, if you feel your photos would benefit from subtle enhancements, feel free to post-process your photos.
Most photos from digital cameras require some level of adjustment, most commonly adjusting levels, saturation,
and/or contrast. Please DO NOT run the unsharp mask filter on your photos, as photo buyers may wish to post-process
the photos as well. Applying unsharp mask multiple times will degrade the image quality.
